BIOGRAPHY

Jenn Vogtle is a Dance Artist based in London. 

She started dancing as a young child in Singapore and at 16 was accepted into Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Boston as a ballet major. 

Jenn graduated from Middlesex University's Contemporary Dance Performance degree with first class honours and has been working as a professional dancer in London and internationally since 2015.

CONTEMPORARY

Jenn's primary discipline is contemporary dance. She has studied Graham, Cohan, Release, Humphrey, and Gaga techniques as well as trained with various choreographers to develop her own movement language with a fusion of styles. 

In 2019 Jenn was awarded a scholarship to the Martha Graham School in NYC where she trained with the artistic director, company dancers and performed Graham repertoire. 

The contemporary companies Jenn has worked with during her career thus far have varied greatly in style, performance type, venues, and creative processes and she really enjoys this diversity. 

Jenn teaches contemporary dance to children, adults, and professionals.

BALLET

Jenn started taking Ballet at three years old and it was what made her fall in love with dancing. 

She studied the discipline across the world in Canada, Singapore, the UK, and the US. 

As a professional, Jenn performs with Hack Ballet and Black Orchid Ballerinas. She has modelled as a ballet model for multiple photographers, events, and workshops such as The Nureyev film premiere and performed in Swan Lake with the Birmingham Royal Ballet. 

Jenn teaches ballet to students aged 2-14 and adult classes. She's confident with Pas De Deux, improvisation, classical and contemporary ballet works. 

AERIAL

As an aerialist, Jenn has trained in multiple apparatuses and her main focus is aerial hoop.

She teaches beginners and intermediate classes at Aerialand in Hammersmith and choreographs her own bespoke acts which have been performed at venues such as The Aeronaut and Camberwell Arts Festival.
